The Book Locker

The Book Locker

La Mouette’s Book Locker

In just a short space of time, we have managed to build up a collection of books related to sailing, boat maintenance, the cruising lifestyle, as well as general books on the boating lifestyle.  Whilst we haven’t yet built an actual book locker on La Mouette (it’s on the to do list), we do have a shelf at home with the hard copies of some of the listed books.  The rest are on our Kindles – I was dragged kicking and screaming to my Kindle but now I love it to bits.  It will never replace paper, but the storage capabilities are just brilliant – not too sure about their longevity in the salt air – only time will tell.

We tend to go through a lot of books, some are really excellent, some good and some not so good.  As we find excellent books on sailing, we will update this page and hopefully visitors can use it a guide or reference.  Most likely, our visitors will have most of these books on their shelves or Kindles.  Enjoy!

Cruising the New South Wales Coast – Alan Lucas

If you are planning to do any cruising on the east coast of Australia, this is the definitive guide for the New South Wales portion.  It’s pretty much a classic for the Australian boat owner.
